Neil Marks

Author of Great Australian Cricket Stories and Tales from the Sports Field

A renowned story-teller and raconteur, Neil Marks is a former NSW Sheffield Shield cricketer who scored a century in each of his first two matches.

Both his father Alec, a close friend of Don Bradman, and brother Lynn, also represented NSW at cricket.

Neil’s career in the big-time was unfortunately cut short by illness, but he later became team manager and a NSW selector.

A prolific writer, Neil has had five books published to date, and his style of writing is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye. Known as ‘Marksy’ to his school and business friends and ‘Harpo’ to all in cricket, Neil brings to life a spirit many believed was lost.
