Daniel Lane has been a sports journalist since 1985, working in print, radio and television.

Before his current role as a sports journalist for The Sun-Herald, Lane worked for Sports Tonight on Channel Ten. He was on the support staff for the 2000 and 2004 Australian Olympic teams and has won a number of awards for his sports writing.

Forever Brothers—The Bond That Won the 2005 Premiership is Lane’s twelfth book. World champion boxer Danny Green, Test cricketer Glenn McGrath, league identities Paul Sironen, Bill Harrigan, Mark Geyer, Brad Clyde & Laurie Daley and Jarrod McCracken are among his subjects.

Lane has also written scripts for documentaries and television shows.
